Entry Requirement

Diploma of Building and Construction

The Diploma of Building and Construction is one of the Bricklaying courses in Melbourne that can see you being employed as a site manager or project manager. This course is designed considering the demands of the builders and contractors, along with the newest trends in the sector.

A common consensus prevails in the construction industry about the effectiveness of assessments and training that recognise skills. These can be conducted in a real environment or a simulated one. A diploma in Building and Construction ensures that you develop an all-around competency in your work.

The National Code of Practice for Induction Training for Construction Work (ASCC 2007) specifies the ‘general induction training program’. It’s a prerequisite before you can enter a construction site. You can achieve this requirement by completing unit CPCCOHS1001A- Work Safely in the Construction Industry.

Depending on the States and the Territories, builders’ registration requirements may require more competency units to be included.
