RSMS is a type of permanent visa similar to ENS-186, except it’s nominated by an employer which is located in “regional Australia”. Many areas are defined as regional areas in Australia. For the list, visit http://www.immi.gov.au/employers/rsms_postcodes.htm.
These states are deemed regional, entirely:
Western Australia
South Australia
Tasmania
Australian Capital Territory (ACT)
In New South Wales (NSW), Victoria and Queensland there are a few “regional areas.” Concisely, if you’re nominated to work in either Perth, Adelaide, Hobart, Canberra or Darwin, you’re already eligible for RSMS-187.
Like ENS-186, RSMS-187 visa too has three streams:
